Local brewery and bar, Triple Point Brewing Ltd, have won a bronze medal at the European Beer Star Awards!
Based in the heart of Sheffield, the brewery competed with over 2000 entries from 42 countries, and struck bronze with their beer – Dyad 2. This brew came about as the owners, a father and son duo, chatted over a beer themselves, and decided to try combining two hops together.In this case, Citra and Wakatu, which clearly blended perfectly!
With their motto being, ‘The beer comes first’ (which we can absolutely get behind), they didn’t name this prize winner, until after brewing. ‘Dyad’ is ‘something that consists of two elements or parts’ , which cleverly explains the brewing process and has resulted in a delicious range of beers, browsable here.
Triple Point Brewing Ltd was founded in November 2018, when owners Mike and George Brook bought a re-possessed brewing plant. Hiring an experienced team, they set out to achieve their aim – to create an interesting range of beers, with a focus on lagers.
Noticing the wide variety of ales,yet limited options for lager, they utilised the purity and softness of Sheffield’s water, and got to work!
Full, fresh flavours and sourcing locally, were also focuses for the brewery. Even making them gluten free and vegan where possible. You can browse the full fruits of their labour here.
