Lockdown has forced a lot of beer to go to waste. It only has a limited shelf life and it doesn’t look like many pubs will be reopening in the forcible future.
The Beer Engine has 25 kegs of beer nearing the end of their life, instead of pouring it away they are bottling it up and selling it, starting this Friday.
The bottles will be available to collect from the pub (at the bottom of London Road/Ecclesall Road) or delivered, cold and fresh.
Beer available will come from Kernel Brewery, Cloudwater, Weird Beard Brew Co, Chorlton Brew, Buxton Brewery and Salopian Brewery.
