Makers Mill

A Crafty Afternoon at The Leadmill

With us all spending more time at home than ever, what better time to take up a new hobby?

On January 17th The Leadmill will be launching Makers Mill – a fun afternoon of crafty tutorials, tasty drinks and chilled music!

There’ll be three 45 minute sessions, ran by Sheffield’s expert crafty creators, all giving you the skills and materials needed to create a memento in each one. Running from 2pm to 6pm, there’ll be breaks with snacks and drinks available, and the venue will be set up so that you’ll be toasty and cosy, whilst learning a fun new skill!

Here’s a sneak peek at whats in store :

Oaklea Crafts – Owner Beki, will teach you how to make a macrame feather, as well as showing you demo’s on further hangings you can re-create at home.

Helen Moyes Design – here you will blend wool and master the ‘stabbing action’, to create a felted landscape design! These can be mounted onto card or framed – perfect for a unique Christmas gift?

Running With Scissors – Owner Laura will teach you how to Arm Knit! You’ll learn the method of making big, bold stitches with nothing but your hands and some chunky yarn. It’ll be handmade scarves all round this Christmas, after this tutorial!

Tickets cost £30 per person – all sessions and materials included.
